The Botswana Guides Association (BOGA) was formed in 1999.
BOGA promotes the tour and safari industry in Botswana in all aspects as guide in the industry and provides at all times proper professional services, equipment, vehicles, vessels, accommodation and staff of a high standard for local and overseas tourists.
It works towards the improvement of the whole range of tourism services in Botswana and promotes regulated safaris as an integral part of Wildlife Management Program. It prevents, where possible, any illegal practices in the Tourism Industry. It also promotes and upholds a high standard of Guides and Professional ethics in the tour and safari industry.
The aim of BOGA is to create a forum where BOGA individual and company members and the government Departments can deliberate on tourism issues.
